Spot on.
“More Americans should not die because the peace-at-any-cost fringe and antigovernment paranoids still fighting the ghost of Nixon hate George Bush more than they fear al Qaeda.” – Debra Burlingame
Michelle Malkin says, “Debra Burlingame speaks for me.”
And in a totally different type of endorsement – “I wholeheartedly endorse the Cindy Sheehan for Senate campaign.”
This Sunday’s Pundit Review Radio will feature Andrew Goldberg of The Smoking Gun website. Goldberg has been all over the news this past week discussing their debunking of the James Frey book. Even Oprah has now admitted that she was duped. Will bookstores now reshelve the selection to the fiction aisle?
Goldberg will appear during the 9 o’clock hour of the now two hour show which is streamed from WRKO in Boston, from 8 til 10pm est.
Just about any week is a good time to vacation in San Diego, but being able to attend an interesting radio event makes it even better. Roger Hedgecock, “San Diego’s Radio Mayor” and frequent guest host for Rush, celebrated his 20 years in broadcasting yesterday, and I was lucky to gain a pass.
From the hangar deck of the USS Midway, in gorgeous San Diego Harbor, Roger and several hundred fans listened to callers and guests offer their congratulations. The list included local personalities and political figures, congressmen, long-time sponsors, a governor called Ahnold, and a recorded message from Rush.
Also visiting were members of our armed forces. One of Roger’s initiatives is Homefront San Diego, which offers aid for families of active duty military. Roger’s efforts with this organization and the attending military personnel received some of the loudest applause of the afternoon.
One young Marine Corporal recounted to Roger her experiences during two tours in Iraq. She spoke of how the attitude of Iraqis to the soldiers has evolved over the past few years from distrust and wariness to much friendlier encounters. Roger asked her if she would be going back. Though her unit may not return there, she said she would gladly go. “The Iraqis are appreciative of what we are doing,” she explained, “More than Americans, which is sad.”
Roger’s support for great people like this Marine will continue as he begins his 21st year in radio. You can catch this show streamed from KOGO in San Diego, Monday thru Friday from 6 til 9pm Eastern time.
Jay Severin is debuting his new show this evening. The schedule grid has streaming links on WTKK Boston 7 -10 est. and KRLD Dallas starting at 8 est. The Boston link requires an easy registration. For the KRLD link, overide your pop-up blocker or connect from the CBS Radiomat.
Jay is also on WJFK 106.7 in Washington D.C., from 7 – 10 but I haven’t been able to get that stream to work yet even though its also off the Radiomat. The fourth station Jay is on this evening is KMOX in St. Louis, scheduled between 9 and 11 est.
